How would you solve this dilemma?

How would you solve this dilemma?

You have a railroad train heading directly toward a cow. The cow looks up directly at the oncoming headlights and says, insightfully, “Moo–oo–oo.” On an adjacent set of railraod tracks, you have a huge, beautiful adocado tree in a huge pot. It is already bearing avocadoes.

You are a switch person. If you do nothing, you will have to use that charcoal grill that is already flamed up and ready to go, beside the tracks. Which would you do? Would you allow nature to take its course and enjoy a barbecue, or would you wipe out the far more nutritious and beautiful avocado tree by switching the railroad tracks?
You vegetarians have just wiped out avocadoes, one of the most nutritious vegetables or fruits in your arsenal from your argument.

Awwwwwwwwwwwww, I love b-b-q, but I would wipe out the avocado tree. I couldn’t let the cow get killed.

  2. Tab says:

    Poor cow, switch tracks.

  3. Dee says:

This is more an issue of personal moral issues than a dietary query.

Some vegans aren’t into it for the cruelty aspect but the nutritive value.

I would hate to hit the cow, but my decision would be based upon my personal safety at that point. In effect, if the tree was HUGE and might kill me hitting it, of course I would plow the cow. But if I could divert the train to hit the tree safely, I would spare the bovine and make guacamole.

  4. RND.seed(int.dave[23]); says:

I’d whip out my junk and pee on the cow while it got hit by the train. Of course i’d be laughing and video taping it. Then i would send the tape to PETA.

  5. Sparky5115 says:

    Let the cow live!

    Let there be milk!

Besides, I don’t even LIKE avocadoes! So hmmmph!

    lol

  6. ahsset says:

what a stupid question. if you are going to try and be a smarty pants and ask a question like that, at least make it make logical sence. WHY would there be an avocado tree in the tracks??? If the other set of tracks were unused enough to have an avocado tree growing in the middle of them, there would not be a switch person at all to be involved in this “delemma” as they would have lost their job ages ago…

  7. Cheffy says:

I’d throw some avocados at the cow until it moved out of the way.

  8. beebs says:

I would save the cow. You can plant the seeds from all of the avacados and grow new trees. That wouldnt justify a bbq for me.

  9. kj_imagine says:

I would save the cow of course, I could never let an animal die right in front of me knowing that there was away I could prevent it.

And as far as “You vegetarians have just wiped out avocadoes, one of the most nutritious vegetables or fruits in your arsenal from your argument.” you made no mention of this being the last avocado tree on earth. And like Beebs said I could just replant the seeds anyway.

  10. butterscare says:

How much are they paying me per hour?

  11. PG says:

There is no way that an avocado tree (or any other tree) could grow in the middle of an active track, therefore, this decision would never have to be made in real life.

  12. Animal Lover says:

Okay… an Avocado Tree growing on a Railroad Track okay…..
